Transfer Twist: £20m Leeds United Target could join on loan after club’s stance revealed

Leeds United are working hard behind the scenes to deliver the attacking signings Daniel Farke wants before the end of the window. The club are assessing several options as Adam Underwood and his recruitment team push to secure a few deals in the coming days.

The Whites are set to sign a striker imminently, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the verge of completing a move to Elland Road. The 28-year-old striker will become a Leeds player after he passes a medical and is likely to be registered in time to feature against Everton on Monday night.

His injury record suggests Leeds would hope to sign one more striker before the end of the window, but the club are also in the market for a winger and a versatile attacking midfielder.

Leeds have made a concrete offer to sign Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss, and are assessing their options when it comes to the winger they are pushing to secure before the September 1st transfer deadline.

Leeds United could still sign Manor Solomon on another loan deal

Manor Solomon played a starring role in Leeds getting promoted last season, but left the club once his loan deal from Spurs expired.

The winger wanted to prove himself at Tottenham this summer, but he has failed to convince new manager Thomas Frank and is not part of his plans.

Tottenham are eager to sell the winger, with the club making moves to sign Manchester City’s Savinho and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze before the end of the window.

Spurs would prefer a permanent deal and are looking for a fee in the region of £20m from his departure.

However, according to the London Evening Standard, Spurs have not ruled out accepting a loan offer for him towards the end of the window.

Solomon is not part of Spurs’ plans, and the club are keen to ensure that he is not at the club once the transfer window closes on 1st September.

Therefore, Tottenham are open to accepting loan offers for the winger if they do not receive suitable bids for a permanent deal in the coming days.

Another loan would make sense for Leeds

Solomon did well for Leeds in the Championship, and the Whites were keen to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell last season.

However, the winger is still unproven in the Premier League and failed to impress Spurs boss Frank during pre-season preparations with the club.

With Spurs not ruling out another loan for Solomon, it would make sense for Leeds to sign him on another temporary deal for a season.

If Leeds stay up in the Premier League and Solomon does well, the Whites can turn it into a permanent transfer at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
