Arsenal won’t likely make any more squad changes before their first game of the season against Man United, but are keen to sell some players before they can land their next target. That target being Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, who won’t be cheap – he has a £68m release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park.

There are reportedly seven Arsenal players who could be sold before the end of the transfer window, with those names being Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Viera, Sami Lokonga and Karl Heim. However, the Gunners aren’t yet to receive a strong approach for any of them…until now.

Arsenal receive “official offer” for Zinchenko

Defender Oleksandr Zinchenko’s role at Arsenal has significantly reduced in recent seasons, last year he made just 15 Premier League appearances. Now considering that the Gunners have the likes of Jurrien Timber, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori to start at full-back, the Ukraine international could be on his way out.

According to the media in Turkey, via LondonWorld, Zinchenko has been subject to an “official offer” from Fenerbahce, who are currently managed by former Man United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

It hasn’t been reported as to any value of an offer, but it is understood that Arsenal are willing to sell the 28-year-old this summer. He is well regarded in the Premier League, as Man City boss Pep Guardiola described him as “incredible” during his time at the Etihad (Quoted by FootMob).

What has Zinchenko said about his Arsenal role?

The Ukrainian wasn’t happy about last season. He wasn’t happy that his role reduced, and has hinted that it could force him to seek a move away this summer, such as to Fenerbahce.

Written in the Athletic are exerts from his new upcoming book, in which he mentions his lack of opportunity at the Emirates. Zinchenko said: “I was basically out of the starting XI altogether, bar a few isolated matches. In pure personal terms, it was easily the worst season I ever experienced as a professional.

“A player who doesn’t play is nothing. It’s one thing when your body lets you down. That can happen. But going from one of the established players of the side to unused sub is much harder to deal with. The sense of rejection you feel if your manager no longer believes in you can take the stuffing out of you, even if you’re the most resilient guy on the planet.”
