Earlier this week, Il Messaggero reported West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds United as suitors for AS Roma’s Artem Dovbyk and on Wednesday, the UK media linked Everton with a move.
The 28-year-old is likely to be out of the Italian club’s project under Gian Piero Gasperini and Roma are looking for a replacement.
Today’s Il Messaggero reports interest from Everton ‘has been denied’ and there’s no sign of any effort from the Toffees.
The newspaper reports that West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds United have only made initial enquiries for the Ukraine international and are yet to make formal bids.
If an offer of around €30m doesn’t arrive, Dovbyk will stay at Roma and fight to become a part of Gasperini’s side.
The Giallorossi see Nikola Krstovic as a replacement for the ex-Girona man but Lecce have put a deadline of August 23rd to sell him.
Roma are desperate for suitors and want the money to sign Krstovic. With the clock ticking, these are major attempts to attract more interest from other European clubs.
Everton appear to have joined the list of English clubs thrown into the mix without actually making an effort.
