Everton are looking for a breakthrough in their pursuit of Southampton’s Tyler Dibling.
David Moyes has been keen to strengthen his attacking options all summer, and he saw a major addition this week with Jack Grealish.
A lot has changed on Merseyside over recent weeks, but Moyes is still keen to sign a new right winger before the window shuts in September.
The clock is now ticking before Monday night’s opener away to Leeds United, and Everton are stepping up their pursuit of Dibling.
Southampton have made Everton a counter-offer for Dibling, with the Saints now showing a willingness to compromise.
After meetings were held between the two clubs earlier this week, Everton’s stance has now been shared.

Everton set to increase bid for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling
Amid the speculation, Dibling did not play for Southampton in their opening game of the Championship season.
Everton walked away from Dibling negotiations, with Southampton previously unwilling to budge on their whopping £50m asking price.

The Toffees are hoping the Saints can compromise slightly on the terms and structure of the potential deal.
Dibling is keen to join Everton, but the player has not yet officially submitted a transfer request; however, he has made his stance clear.
Having spent so much on Grealish’s loan move for the 2025/26 campaign, Everton are going to have to manage their remaining budget.
Everton also want to bring in another midfielder, and potentially even a new right-back. With this in mind, the Saints may well have to compromise considerably if Dibling is to sign.
Dibling is not training with Southampton amid Everton interest
Dibling has not trained with Southampton’s first team for well over a week now.
The speculation linking him with a move to Merseyside has seen the 19-year-old banished from Will Still’s squad.
Southampton got off the mark in style at the weekend, with a late comeback against Wrexham, but Dibling was not involved.
The youngster now faces a nervous wait as to whether his current club will open the door enough for Everton to make a deal happen.
Paul Scholes thinks Dibling would shine at Everton, but a lot remains to be sorted if a move is to be sanctioned.
