Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has kept a promise he made to fans ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24/25 campaign was a very underwhelming one for everyone associated with the Manchester club, with Al Mubarak publicly admitting that the Premier League giants rested on their laurels last summer, having won four titles in a row.
That was not going to happen again ahead of the upcoming season, with Pep Guardiola wanting four to five new faces ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
Al Mubarak made a promise to Man City supporters back in May regarding the transfer window, and the last few days have shown that the chairman of the Manchester club has kept his word.

Manchester City have been swift in the transfer market
Al Mubarak was happy with the additions Man City made in January, with the chairman praising Abdukodir Khusanov and believing the centre-back will go on to be a key player at the Etihad Stadium over the coming years.
Back in May, the 50-year-old stated that City had already identified their targets for the summer, and if anything unexpected happened, the Premier League giants would be swift to react.

“I can tell you today, we have clearly identified who exactly are the targets, in what positions, and we have our clear number one option, our clear number two option,” Al Mubarak told mancity.com.
“And we’ll go about our business, and it will be very clear, very swift.”
Man City have added several players to Guardiola’s side ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which was part of the Premier League club’s plan, as these were likely their top targets.
It is the other names they have signed and have been linked with that have shown what Al Mubarak meant by his words in May.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak has kept his Man City promise
Man City completed the signing of James Trafford last month, which was achieved by the Manchester club acting swiftly to Newcastle’s bid for the English goalkeeper.
Tottenham are currently looking to sign Savinho, and within hours, Man City made it clear that they would move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo if the Brazilian winger leaves the Etihad Stadium.
The same situation has played out with Ederson. If the goalkeeper leaves, Man City will be ready to add Gianluigi Donnarumma to their ranks, as the Italian is set to leave PSG over the coming weeks.
This is what Al Mubarak meant when he said the Manchester club had clear targets and would move decisively in the market, a promise the chairman has kept to the fans.
