Lakers rookie Adou Thiero, acquired in a seven-team trade involving Kevin Durant, is expected to be ready for training camp after recovering from a college knee injury.
Adou Thiero, a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, is expected to be ready for Los Angeles Lakers training camp after missing all of Summer League while recovering from a left knee injury suffered in college, according to Dan Woike of The Athletic.
The 21-year-old forward was selected 36th overall by the Brooklyn Nets and traded to Los Angeles for the 45th pick and cash considerations as part of a seven-team deal that sent Kevin Durant from Phoenix to Houston.
Woike notes that Thiero will face stiff competition for playing time, but his defensive skills could help him carve out a role.
He played college basketball for Kentucky and Arkansas, leading the Razorbacks in scoring last season with 15.1 points per game.
