Atletico Madrid have opened negotiations with Juventus in search of a potential deal for Argentina international Nico Gonzalez following the recent addition of Italy international Giacomo Raspadori.

Both Raspadori and Nico Gonzalez have been mentioned as potential attacking additions for Diego Simeone’s side for several weeks.
Having officially welcomed Raspadori last week, Atleti are now in talks to sign Nico Gonzalez from Juventus according to reports from the likes of Fabrizio Romano, Matteo Moretto andCalciomercato.com.

While a specific price tag has not been mentioned, it is understood that the Bianconeri will look to recoup as much of the fee that they spent to sign the Argentine from Fiorentina last summer as possible.
Juvepaid a fee of €8m to bring Nico Gonzalez in on loan for the 2024-25 season, and also committed to signing him outright for a fee of €25m plus up to €5m in bonuses.
The move could also help Juventus unblock deals for some of their own transfer targets, such as Randal Kolo Muani and Matt O’Riley, particularly given that there are no suitable offers for unwanted striker Dusan Vlahovic.
