Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba is open to a move to Manchester United despite the club’s lack of European football.
Manchester United have initiated contact to discuss a potential deal for Baleba. Ruben Amorim wants to reinforce his midfield with an athletic ball-winner and Baleba is the club’s number one target.
The Red Devils have held talks with Baleba’s representatives and the player is keen on the switch.

However, Brighton’s asking price of around £100m is out of reach for Manchester United at this stage.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Baleba’s interest in the move but said an agreement between the two clubs is ‘far’.
“The player, I think this is important, is not closing the doors at all,” Romano said.
“Personal terms are not a problem, no European football for Manchester United this season but, for Baleba, this is not a problem.
“He would go to Manchester United immediately, I can guarantee that. But from club-to-club, we are still far from a solution.”
