The Miami Dolphins are looking to get back to the playoffs after missing out on the postseason last year. The Dolphins’ 2024 season was thrown off course by another scary head injury to star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Now, Tagovailoa is healthy and ready to lead, and he’s not happy with what he say from a team on Wednesday in a joint practice session with the Detroit Lions.
“Some of the frustrating things like I said were we couldn’t get ourselves jumpstarted as an offense,” Tagovailoa said, according to Pro Football Talk. “We couldn’t gain that momentum to where, OK, all we needed was one play and then jumpstart the offense whether it was move the ball, whether it was one of the third down team periods, another team period, red zone.
“It just felt like we didn’t have the energy that we’re used to when we practice and when we play against opponents, so that’s what I’m talking about when I talk about it was frustrating today.”
Fans reacted to Tagovailoa’s comments on social media.
“He needs to just not answer questions. Everything he says sounds like an indictment of team culture,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I see big changes coming in Miami…SMH,” one fan added.
“Same old dolphins,” another person added.
It’ll be interesting to see what changes come to Miami if the Dolphins have another disapointing season.
