Cristopher Nkunku reportedly prefers a move away from Chelsea permanently before the transfer deadline day.
The France international played a major role for the Blues during the Club World Cup, but he has still become surplus to requirements at the club.
Since moving from RB Leipzig two seasons ago, Nkunku has struggled to cement a regular starting place, and **he is one of the six players who are reportedly expected to depart**Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 27-year-old has managed 61 games for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring 18 goals, and he is not part of Enzo Maresca's long-term plans.
Chelsea have already bolstered their forward department by signing Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, and are reportedly interested in Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, which means Nkunku would eventually drop way down the pecking order.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Nkunku would prefer a permanent move away from Chelsea before the deadline day, and a loan move would be his 'last resort'.
The former Leipzig winger wants to start a fresh journey, and several clubs, including Bayern Munich, are vying for his signature.
The transfer expert also claimed on X in a separate post that Serie A giants Inter Milan are also showing interest in signing him, but Ademola Lookman is their priority target.
Could Bayern make a move for Nkunku?
Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku celebrates on February 25, 2025
The German champions were interested in signing the Chelsea attacker back in January, and they had agreed on personal terms as well.
Bayern could not meet Chelsea's valuations at the time, but they would be able to afford him now, as the Blues are prepared to accept lower offers in the region of €50m (£43.39m) for Nkunku.
The Bavarian giants could need a new winger despite signing Luis Diaz from Liverpool, especially if Kingsley Coman leaves the club, and Nkunku could be an option for them.
Bayern have reportedly suffered a setback in the race for Nick Woltemade, and there is a high chance they could reignite interest in Nkunku.
