Sarina Wiegman’s side became only the second nation to win back-to-back European Championships after triumphing at Euro 2025 after their epic success in 2022.

Among the England squad were four City players who each played their part in the victorious quest along the continent.

Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp started the enthralling penalties victory over Spain in the final, meanwhile Jess Park and Khiara Keating were vital members of the squad who drove standards every day.

England began their tournament with a defeat to France but qualified for the quarter-finals following group wins over the Netherlands and Wales.

They then met Sweden in the last-eight were they came from two goals down to draw before winning on penalties which set up a semi-final tie with Italy.

The Lionesses then snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to win 2-1 in extra-time have trailed approaching full-time.

Then came that showpiece with Spain were they again came from behind to win in a nerve-wracking shootout - with Greenwood expertly dispatching her effort.

With all four returning to the City Football Academy on Thursday, watch our celebratory video in the player above!
