'Would be a wonderful thing': Agent says his 'world-class' £34m player dreams of Premier League …

Manchester City have been busy on the transfer front this summer, but they may not be done just yet.

Manchester City have signed the likes of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and James Trafford to complement an already strong squad.

However, in recent days, speculation linking Man City with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has intensified massively.

PSG have been unable to agree a new deal with Donnarumma and, with his contract expiring next summer, he has been frozen out by Luis Enrique.

Now, Donnarumma’s agent has spoken further about where his client wants to play next season, and it’s good news for Man City.

Gianluigi Donnarumma ‘aspires to’ the Premier League

Enzo Raiola, Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent, recently suggested he could join Man City by naming the Premier League as his next destination.

Raiola has now elaborated on the prospect of Donnarumma moving to the Premier League, saying the Italian keeper aspires to playing there.

“Some Premier League clubs are making moves, and it’s the league Gigio aspires to, even from a professional standpoint,” Raiola told Mediaset, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.

“After being in Italy and at PSG, the Premier League could give you that next step up because you’d be playing in the best league in the world.

“The Premier League step is being considered because we believe it could be the right fit for an important player like Gigio.”

Raiola also said it would be a “wonderful thing” for Donnarumma to become one of the few Italians to pick up a Premier League winner’s medal.

So far, just Mario Balotelli and Federico Chiesa have won the Premier League title and played enough games to get a winner’s medal.

However, Raiola poured cold water on the reports, saying: “The truth is that we never spoke to Guardiola because until recently we were thinking of staying in Paris, even this year.

“After the announcement of the non-renewal, I said: ‘Let’s stay another year and then leave.’ That was also Gigio’s wish.”

L’Equipe previously claimed Donnarumma could be available for an initial fee of €40million (£34million) and €15million (£12.9million) in add-ons.
