West Ham’s attacking options have taken a real hit ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The loss of Mohammed Kudus to Spurs may not have been a massive dent in pure goal numbers, but it’s still a big blow in terms of creativity and threat in the final third.
The situation hasn’t been helped by the failure of Evan Ferguson to make an impact during his loan spell. The young Irishman promised to be the future of the club, but has since returned to Brighton before sealing a permanent switch to Roma.
Michail Antonio, meanwhile, has been released after years of loyal service.
All in all, the Hammers are heading into the new season looking worryingly short of goals. Callum Wilson has arrived to help plug the gap, bringing Premier League pedigree and a poacher’s instinct — but at 33, with a patchy injury record, he can’t be the only answer.
Fortunately, it looks like West Ham have a plan B — and it’s a plan that comes with 30 goals from last season.

According to a new report from Fichajes, West Ham are plotting a swoop for Fenerbahçe’s Youssef En-Nesyri as Graham Potter looks to add real firepower before the transfer window shuts.
The Moroccan international has been in red-hot form since joining from Sevilla last summer, becoming one of the Turkish Super Lig’s standout performers.
Across 52 appearances in all competitions, En-Nesyri racked up 30 goals and seven assists, drawing glowing praise from Fenerbahçe boss José Mourinho.
“Having Youssef with us now has made a big difference,” he said. “We couldn’t try this approach at the beginning of the season, because he wasn’t with us, but now he is a great addition to the team.”
West Ham are understood to have been tracking the striker for several seasons and are now “determined” to land him before deadline day.
Fichajes reports that the club is ready to use its Premier League pulling power and financial muscle to tempt En-Nesyri, who ticks all the boxes for the kind of profile Potter wants — experienced, physical, clinical, and still with room to shine at the highest level.
