Nottingham Forest still stuck at an impasse – Neither side moving from demands yet

Jota Silva’s move from Nottingham Forest to Sporting Club de Portugal remains at an impasse because neither side are moving on their demands.

That’s according to Record, who say the deal will be resolved with concessions on both sides of the agreement.

The newspaper reports that Sporting continue to negotiate with Nottingham Forest for the Portuguese winger, but the situation remains unresolved.

Sporting’s intention is to loan the player until the end of the season with an option to buy. That doesn’t tally with Nottingham Forest, though, as they want to sell at least 50% of Silva’s rights outright.

Thus, the two remain at an impasse, with the two clubs needing to find a solution that suits them both and that they can agree on. As far as Record are concerned, the situation will be resolved at some point before the end of the transfer window.

Sporting have been chasing Jota for weeks without making any progress in negotiations with Nottingham Forest. the player himself as even become concerned about the lack of movement as he wants the transfer to happen this summer.

Those concerns won’t be lessening for the time being as the deal remains stuck, with neither side budging for the time being.
