Striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is expected in England in the next few hours to complete a €30m move to Nottingham Forest.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the offer is expected to be accepted by Rennes and the deal pushed through quickly.
Reports earlier today stated that Nottingham Forest had made a €30m bid for Kalimuendo, who already has an agreement in place with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Foot Mercato report that the bid has been made and is expected to be accepted at some point soon. The French side will be in line for a profit on a player who cost them €20m in 2022.
They go one step further, though, report that Kalimuendo is expected to arrive in England in the coming hours. He will either fly out this evening or tomorrow morning to finalise his move and become Nottingham Forest’s second most expensive purchase this summer after the €42m move for Dan Ndoye.
He’ll arrive at Forest to bolster a forward line that was heavily reliant on Chris Woods last season and has lost Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United.
