Liverpool are still the talk of the town in the transfer market despite spending over £200million already this summer.
Arne Slot has welcomed players such as Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong to his ranks already, and with the way things seem to be headed, he isn’t ready to stop just yet.
Admittedly, there are still a couple of areas within Liverpool’s first-team squad that could do with strengthening and with the fresh news that emerged this morning, one of those areas could be getting a significant boost.
Here, Rousing the Kop take a look at some of the latest transfer news to have emerged from Anfield on Thursday, 14 August.

Giovanni Leoni is one of the many players who have been linked with a Liverpool move over the last few weeks.
The young centre-back was one of the most sought-after players in Italy, with clubs such as Inter Milan vying for his signature this summer.
Now, however, as per a report from Paul Joyce, Leoni is set to undergo his Liverpool medical on Thursday.
The deal is said to be worth around £30million, with the transfer leaving Italian legend Arrigo Sacchi somewhat angry.

As mentioned, now that Leoni is set to undergo his medical at Liverpool, some fans may be a bit taken aback by how quickly things have moved.
For the last couple of weeks, many expected Marc Guehi to be the one brought in, but instead, it’s 18-year-old Leoni who’s been chosen.
And, this isn’t by mistake either, as Richard Hughes has been looking for an 18-22-year-old centre back for Liverpool to sign for some time now.
And, according to Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele, Hughes’ contacts within Italian football were the secret weapon they used to ensure that a deal got over the line.
Liverpool will only go back in for Alexander Isak if they know a deal can be struck

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’s hard to have missed that Liverpool are once again on the cusp of signing Alexander Isak.
The striker has now refused to ever play for Newcastle again, with the number nine now only having eyes for a Liverpool move.
However, while live on the Born N’ Red Podcast, journalist Ben Jacobs shared that the only way the Anfield outfit would go back in for Isak is if they can come back and ‘collect’ the attacker.
This comes after the Magpies flat-out refused Liverpool’s first offer of £110million without sending a counter-offer in return.
There’s still plenty of time for deals to be struck, of course, but for now, it’s still anyone’s guess what Liverpool’s team could end up looking like over the next couple of weeks.
