Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend when they kick off their season at home against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm kick-off).

That match could see three players make their competitive debuts for the club. Over the summer so far, United have completed the signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and striker Benjamin Sesko, while 18-year-old Diego Leon also arrived after a deal to sign him was struck in January.

But there could also potentially be some United players making their debuts away from Old Trafford over the weekend. The club have both midfielder Daniel Gore and Ethan Wheatley out on loan to EFL (English Football League) clubs with both having played for their new clubs over the past two weekends.

But it seems that two other youngsters are now closing in on temporary moves away from Old Trafford. Midfielder Toby Collyer is closing in on a loan move to West Bromwich Albion with the Baggies beating off plenty of Championship interest in the 21-year-old.

Left-back Harry Amass looks likely to join crisis club Sheffield Wednesday on loan to build up more first team experience over the season. The Owls are now able to sign loan players and free transfers after having a transfer embargo lifted.

Both teams are in Championship action this weekend, but face a race against time if they wish for the United youngsters to make their debuts. Players have to be signed before 12pm on Friday to be able to feature this weekend.

If the loan deals are completed in time, then Collyer could make his West Brom debut on Saturday when they take on Wrexham away (12.30pm kick-off). Amass, meanwhile, would have a home game as Sheffield Wednesday take on Stoke City at Hillsborough at 3pm.
