White Honored At Lillard Elite Camp

Syracuse freshman Sadiq White served as a college counselor at NBA star Damian Lillard's 2025 Formula Zero Camp in early August and was recognized for his efforts.

White was one of two participants who were named 2025 Formula Zero Pit-Bull Competitor Winners at the conclusion of the camp.

The Formula Zero Elite Camp, conducted August 6-10 in Phoenix, Ariz., featured the top 20 high school players and 20 college counselors. Lillard's program focuses on character, hard work and accountability. In addition to the instruction, the camp offers the opportunity for NBA scouts to observe some of the top high school and college prospects. The camp is in its fourth year.

Lillard, a nine-time NBA All-Star and former NBA Rookie of the Year, signed in the off-season with Portland after two years with Milwaukee. He began his career with Portland and spent 11 seasons with the Blazers before he traded to the Bucks prior to the 2023 campaign. He is Portland's career scoring leader and was named to the NBA's 75th anniversary team.

White spent his senior scholastic season at IMG Academy in Florida. The team finished 22-8 following a national schedule. He averaged 12.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. White was 27th overall and fifth among power forwards in the ESPN top 100 players rankings for the Class of 2025. He was ranked 27th overall and seventh among power forwards by 247Sports. The Rivals.com top 150 placed White 32nd overall and as the sixth power forward.

He is one of five incoming freshman and six transfers who were added to the Syracuse roster during the offseason. They join returning starters J.J. Starling, a senior guard, and sophomore forward Donnie Freeman.
