Barcelona youngster Dani Rodriguez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for La Liga side Valencia ahead of the start of the season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are hoping to land Rodriguez on a season-long loan with a purchase option.
The report claims that Rodriguez could be tempted by the offer as he knows he’s unlikely to get much playing time in the coming campaign despite being a favourite of Hansi Flick’s.
Rodriguez may therefore prefer to play in the top flight with Valencia than feature for Barcelona Atletic in the fourth division.
The 20-year-old has emerged from La Masia as one of the club’s most exciting talents but suffered a real setback last season when he suffered a serious shoulder injury on his first-team debut.
Rodriguez went on to miss pre-season and has only just returned to training.
A decision now looms on his future, and it will be interesting to see whether he chooses to stay or try out a new challenge with Los Che.
