Just in: Everton in advanced talks to sign Wolves 30-year-old

Everton are in advanced talks to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Tom King, according to the Athletic.

The Toffees have been looking to add another goalkeeper to their ranks following the addition of Mark Travers from Bournemouth this summer, and they are close to providing further cover for number one Jordan Pickford.

According to the Athletic, Everton have made progress over a deal to sign the stopper from Premier League rivals Wolves.

Talks between the two clubs are now described as being at an 'advanced' stage, with the Wales international set to move to Merseyside for a nominal fee.

Should a deal for King be completed, he would become Everton's seventh signing of what has been a busy summer ahead of the club's move to their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes has already brought in £90m worth of new players ahead of the new Premier League season kicking off this weekend, with Jack Grealish the marquee signing on loan alongside permanent moves for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Adam Aznou, Travers, Charly Alcaraz and Thierno Barry.
