Leeds United are still pursuing Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss.
The attacking midfielder has been on their radar the past few weeks. However, they are not the only club, as a host of Premier League clubs are also eyeing a deal. Graeme Bailey shared the latest on the situation involving the Leicester star:
“Let’s see where that one goes with El Khannouss. I think El Khannouss will leave Leicester, but there are an awful lot of teams that like him. Leeds being one of them.” he told Leeds United News.
“I don’t think it is 100% he leaves, but he probably will. Leicester need players out as well.
“Not because they’re struggling, but they’ve just got a huge squad and they need to be able to move players on to do some of their own work.”
Transfer clause expires soon
One thing all the clubs chasing El Khannous need to know is that his relegation release clause expires on Friday. It was reported that Leicester were very keen for the deadline to pass, so that they can value the 21-year old at their own price tag.
The attacking midfielder is in demand, with clubs in England keen on his signature. One club that has dropped out of the race is Newcastle, who have opted to sign Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa.
