The dominoes are finally starting to fall for Newcastle United.

It’s already been a busy week. Tuesday night brought news of Malick Thiaw’s official arrival from AC Milan in a £34m move, then we saw a breakthrough on Jacob Ramsey, who is on Tyneside as we speak ahead of a £40m-plus switch from Aston Villa.

But a striker is needed, and it looks like **Yoane Wissa** may finally be on his way to St James’ Park as the dominoes may have finally fallen into place Thursday night.

Brentford have tonight struck a £42.5m agreement to sign Bournemouth forward **Dango Ouattara**, with the Cherries sanctioning his sale after agreeing a fee to bring in Bayer Leverkusen’s **Amine Adli**.

As a result, it is widely expected that Wissa’s move to Newcastle will now be sanctioned, with the player desperate to sign, personal terms not an problem and both parties expected to agree fee.

Newcastle had a £25m bid rejected for the DR Congo star last month, with Brentford demanding a whopping £50m earlier in the window after his 20-goal haul last season.

However, it’s a thought a deal in the region of £35m could be agreed, with Wissa waiting for the green light to head north after holding out for a move to Newcastle for several weeks.
