Fulham will be without left-back Antonee Robinson for Saturday’s opening Premier League fixture of the 2025-26 season against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
Robinson did not play a single minute of pre-season after undergoing knee surgery in May, but the USA international is hoping to return at the end of this month or beginning of September.
Ryan Sessegnon is Fulham’s only remaining senior left-back option and he came off early in the last weekend’s 1-0 pre-season win over Eintracht Frankfurt, but head coach Marco Silva has insisted that his withdrawal was only precautionary and is hopeful that he will be fit to play against Brighton.
Silva has also confirmed that Rodrigo Muniz is “in contention” to play, even though the striker is allegedly keen to join Serie A outfit Atalanta BC who are understood to have tabled a £34m offer.
Muniz is not expected to lead the line ahead of Raul Jimenez, though, who scored a superb free kick against Frankfurt and could be joined in attack by Harry Wilson - who scored five goals in pre-season - Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi.
Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic are the most likely pair to link arms in centre-midfield, while Sessegnon - if fit - could be joined in the back four by Calvin Bassey, Joachim Andersen and Kenny Tete, protecting Bernd Leno between the sticks.
Fulham possible starting lineup: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Sessegnon; Berge, Lukic; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez
