Veteran defensive lineman Calais Campbell returned to the Arizona Cardinals for what appears to be his farewell tour.
The 38-year-old signed a one-year contract this offseason, bringing his career full circle to where it began as a second-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
Campbell recently discussed his future plans and made it clear that this likely will be his last year.
“I’d be very surprised if it’s not,” Campbell said, via NFL insider James Palmer.

The towering 6-foot-8 defender has built an 18-year career on consistency and leadership.
Campbell continues to provide pass rush ability and solid run defense while serving as a mentor for Arizona’s younger defensive linemen.
His return to the Cardinals offers a storybook ending for one of the more respected players of his generation.
Campbell has accumulated 917 combined tackles and 110.5 sacks, leaving his mark on each of the five teams he has played for.
The veteran brings more than just on-field production to Arizona’s defense. His experience helps guide a unit looking to establish itself as a foundation for future success.
Campbell has approached each season with professionalism, and 2025 appears no different despite the likelihood it will be his last.
Few players get the opportunity to bookend their career with the same franchise, making this homecoming particularly meaningful.
For now, Campbell remains focused on contributing as a player and a leader.
His presence provides stability for a defense transitioning toward younger talent while still competing at a high level.
