Villarreal boss Marcelino has said his team are happy to face Barcelona in Miami if the game does end up being taken to the United States.
The two clubs are currently waiting to see if UEFA and FIFA will give the plan the greeen light after being sent the request by the RFEF.
There’s already been plenty of criticism about the idea, but Marcelino does not seem to have a problem with facing Barca outside Spain.
> “At the time, we will see if it is played or not and what is decided we will accept very willingly, because our president, our club and the competition will determine it, so we cannot refuse,” he told reporters.
>
> ”We are professionals, we are going to accept what the club considers most appropriate for its own interests and what the competition determines.”
We’re yet to hear Hansi Flick’s thoughts on the plan, but he is likely to be quizzed on the proposal on Friday when he holds his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Mallorca.
