Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy met with reporters after Thursday's joint practice with the New England Patriots at TCO Performance Center. Kevin O'Connell said after practice McCarthy won't play in Saturday's preseason game. The next time fans see him outside of training camp will be Week 1 at the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
