On Thursday, the Cleveland Browns got the news that rookie running back Quinshon Judkins would not be facing any formal charges stemming from domestic violence allegations levied at him after being drafted by the Browns.
“SLATER SCOOP: Cleveland Browns RB Quinshon Judkins will not face any formal charges from the alleged incident in South Florida, I’ve learned. Prosecutors have declined to move forward with the case,” reported FOX Sports’ Andy Slater.
Slater then followed up with details.
“Details: The decision was based on several factors including late reporting of the alleged incident to police, no surveillance video, and no independent witnesses. The State Attorney says there were videos seen during the same timeframe that didn’t show the victim with injuries.”
Judkins wasn’t the only rookie to receive good news via the legal system.
“The sexual assault case against former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond has been no-billed and he faces no further criminal charges, his agent, Damien Butler told ESPN on Thursday,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Now, Bond has a landing spot.
“The#Browns signingIsaiah Bond the day he is cleared of charges, which also happens to be the day it’s announced that Quinshon Judkins isn’t facing charges, is perfectly Cleveland Browns. Can’t script this franchise. Does make sense given need at WR, though,” reported Jeff Lowe of Barstool Sports.
Hopefully, Bond and Judkins stay out of trouble moving forward.
