Let’s predict the new season!
[**Manchester City**](/) kick off the season this weekend. The longtime perennial winners will look to bounce back and really get the wheels turning at the club once more.
So, ahead of the return of the Premier League, we will have preview content. From questions, predictions and squad looks, we have a little bit of everything as we approach the new season.
Today, we take a shot at predicting three key items for the team. These are for the PL only, reminder.
**1 Erling Haaland will eclipse the 30 goal mark**
Yes, I am doubling down, he came closish last season with 22, so give me a new look Haaland with Cherki, Foden and Marmoush by his side to eclipse this number and get back to the first season form Haaland,
We hope with a different more direct style of play, the club can make more easy chances for him and really help assist the man y playing in to space and taking advantage of his speed, size and more.
**2 Rayan Cherki Stuns in New Season, bags 15 G/A**
The hype is real folks and we hope it will be great as Cherki has surprised many at the club with his form. He can do it all, creative, great in space and tremendous control/vision make him an exceptionally tough player to mark.
Add a monster ahead of him in Haaland and this prediction could look tame come May. He will be expected to help lead this squad back to title contention and while no easy feat, he should be up for it.
**3 John Stones Plays More Than 20 Matches**
The defense needs to take a step forward and I think they will with leadership from coming from all kinds of places and a rejuvenated Stones helping Dias, Akanji, Ake and the rest of the young back line will be an important end towards that goal.
As such, we need him ti stay healthy and it being ahead of a World Cup, my mind tells me he will be extra cautious and really get the most out of his minutes. That means great play and leadership.
