Manchester United are hoping to have a much better season than they did last time.
The Red Devils had a shocking 2024/25 campaign. They finished 15th in the Premier League table and failed to beat a very poor Tottenham Hotspur side in the Europa League final.
Ruben Amorim has had a good transfer window so far. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have all come in and have made United much stronger.
To add to that, Manchester United have a few excellent young players too. Luke Littler appears to be a fan of one of them.
Luke Littler says Manchester United’s Ayden Heaven is the best young player in the Premier League
Ayden Heaven joined Manchester United from Arsenal in January this year.
The 18-year-old was viewed as a big prospect by the Gunners, and they were really keen to keep him. But, when Manchester United came calling, he made up his mind to leave.
Heaven played six senior games for Manchester United last season, and some of his performances were very, very impressive.
The teenager was brilliant in United’s pre-season tour. He was one of the best players on the pitch when the Red Devils faced Leeds United earlier in the summer.
Heaven is hoping to get many more minutes with the senior team in the upcoming campaign, and his first appearance of the campaign could come against his old club Arsenal on Sunday.
Darts sensation Littler, who is a Manchester United fan, seems to love Heaven and rates him very highly.
When asked by the Premier League’s social channels to name the best young player in the entire division, Littler chose Heaven.
He said: “A good young player is Ayden Heaven. He will be one for the future for sure!”
What Mikel Arteta once said about Ayden Heaven
Heaven spent over five and a half years at Arsenal before moving to Manchester United.
The teenager impressed as a Gunner at youth level, and Mikel Arteta even gave him his senior debut at the club in the EFL Cup last season.
Before that happened, Heaven got to start a game against Manchester United in pre-season.
The young defender made a mistake that led to Rasmus Hojlund scoring early on, but from that point in the game, he was nearly flawless.
Arteta hailed Heaven after the game. He said, as per Arsenal Insider: “Very impressive. At 17, I don’t know how many players are able to do that on a stage like this,” he stated.
“He’s lost a duel against one of the strongest and fastest players in the world, it can happen, but the reaction afterwards, the composure, the quality, the body language that he had were all remarkable. I’m really happy with him.”
