TBR sources can now share how Benjamin Sesko has performed in training since arriving at Manchester United – and whether he will start against Arsenal on Sunday.
The Slovenia international only finalised his £74m move from RB Leipzig last Saturday, leaving him little time to prepare for the Premier League opener against the Gunners at Old Trafford.
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – has now been told how Benjamin Sesko is performing in training with Manchester United and whether Ruben Amorim will start his new signing against Arsenal.
Sources: Benjamin Sesko has “hit the ground running” at Manchester United and is expected to start against Arsenal
The new Manchester United No.30 is understood to have made a strong start to life in England.
Bailey explained: “I know United are desperate for lineups not to be leaked prior to kick-off this year. They were very, very unhappy with that last season.
“That’s something Amorim has looked to get on top of this summer. I think it’s fair to say he’s read the riot act to them at the start of pre-season, outlining exactly what he expects from this team.
“In terms of Sesko, he’s done really well. Obviously, he was already training (with RB Leipzig) at least, so he’s come in and hit the ground running. I’d be hugely surprised if he wasn’t in the starting lineup (on Sunday). I really would.”

The Slovenian scored 21 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances for RB Leipzig across all competitions last season, so hopes are high for the 22-year-old at Old Trafford.
Benjamin Sesko’s injury record and Bundesliga antics make speedy start at Manchester United no surprise
The 6ft 5in striker is something of a unicorn in football – much like Zlatan Ibrahimovic – a forward who should not be as quick, and as agile, as he is given his towering frame.
Despite his unusual physique, Sesko – who Newcastle also bid for – has rarely experienced any muscle problems, missing just 61 days and 13 games during his career so far through injuries, playing 224 matches at club level while also making 41 appearances for Slovenia.

The Bundesliga even debated whether Sesko – who took the No.30 shirt from Diego Leon – is “the most athletic striker” ever seen in German football on YouTube, showcasing just how quick and nimble he is for such a tall attacker.
With the above taken into account, it should come as no surprise to hear that the man born in Radece has made a strong first impression at Manchester United.
