Weight: 77 kg

Birth place: United States of America

Minnesota has explored several options to fill the vacancy, including Malcolm Brogdon, Cam Payne, and Landry Shamet, but Hyland is seen as the frontrunner.

The 24-year-old guard closed the 2024–25 season with the Wolves on a two-way deal, making four appearances in limited minutes behind the team’s established backcourt rotation.

Despite the small sample size, his instant scoring ability and deep shooting range have caught the attention of Chris Finch’s staff.

So far, Minnesota is the only NBA team linked with him in a concrete way, leaving an opening for international teams to push hard. Still, a Wolves offer could keep him in the league for another season.

Selected 26th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft out of VCU, Hyland has played 186 regular-season games over four seasons with Denver, the LA Clippers, and Minnesota, averaging 9.5 points and 2.6 assists in 17.1 minutes.

His best run came in 2022–23, when he put up 11.8 points and 3.1 assists while splitting the year between the Nuggets and Clippers.
