While doing an interview with USA TODAY Sports, former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel discussed how he believes Shedeur Sanders will be successful.

“Knowing his family, knowing his dad for a long time, [he’s] well prepared for the moment. Well prepared for everything that comes with being in the NFL and playing the quarterback position.”

Manziel continued to discuss how Shedeur Sanders is one-of-one, but has been able to be like this to be successful up to this point.

“I think he is unique. He beats to his own drum. He is going to be different than a lot of guys that you’re going to see around the league. I think he’s done the right thing every step of the way. At the same time, you want to continue to be yourself. You don’t want to change what’s made you great and something that’s ingrained in your DNA.”

Shedeur Sanders played in the preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers as he completed 14 of 23 (60.9%) of his passes for 138 yards with a pair of passing touchdowns. It will be interesting to see how he does as he deals with an oblique injury and attempts to climb the depth chart for the Cleveland Browns.
