Celtic are looking to further strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ squad this summer and there’s been claims of interest in Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia.
These reports emerged in the UK and it has reached the Dutch press, particularly Voetbal International, who give their own take on the Celtic links.
VI share a report from journalist Joost Blaauwhof, who got in touch with people close to the Manchester United player for an update on Celtic’s rumoured interest.
The Netherlands international’s entourage are said to be ‘surprised’ to see him linked with a move to Celtic Park. They insist there’s been no contact with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Blaauwhof says the 25-year-old only has one offer on the table and that’s from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club.
Celtic were also credited with interest in the left-back during the winter market. That didn’t work out as Manchester United let the 25-year-old spend the second half of last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven.
Malacia has already returned to Manchester United, where he has no future under Ruben Amorim. His representatives need to act fast and find a new club in this window, but the Dutch press don’t believe that’ll be Celtic.
