Celtic signed Hayato Inamura from the J-League this summer, who played at left back in pre-season. Liam Scales has been shifted to left back when KT has been withdrawn, suggesting that the manager will be looking to add another left back to his ranks.
Malacia is in a position whereby he will require to play regularly to kickstart his career. Celtic would benefit from adding a Scottish leftback to their ranks to add to the squad and satisfy UEFA requirements.
