Last week, TuttoSport reported Everton and Fulham have made initial contact for Juventus winger Nico Gonzalez.
The Argentine’s exit from Turin is likely to fund several other moves for the Italian side and attempts are ongoing to find suitors for the 27-year-old.
Today’s TuttoSport reports Gonzalez’s agent has been exploring the European market for a month now as he works to find a new club for his client.
This led to contact from Fulham and Everton but the newspaper believe that since the Toffees have landed Jack Grealish, only Marco Silva’s side remain interested. They too are currently prioritising a move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Kevin, but Gonzalez is on the shortlist.
Fulham are now facing major competition from Atletico Madrid, who have been informed that Juve want €30m in loan plus obligation to buy package.
The Spanish side are yet to make a final decision, but the winger is interested in playing for Los Rojiblancos. His stance about a move to Fulham is yet to be ascertained but the newspaper report that the London club are still in the race.
The Argentina international’s agent had specifically focused on finding suitors in England or Spain and his attempts are leading to fruition.
