Nottingham Forest have also entered the race for his services and the Premier League have opened talks with Juventus for a potential summer deal. The player is also said to be open to a move, provided he gets regular game time.
One may argue that this is a blessing in disguise for Tottenham. The Lilywhites already have Joao Palhinha and Pape Matar Sarr vying for the #6 position. Bringing in Douglas Luiz would hinder Matar Sarr’s development as he looks to make a name for himself at N17.
