Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in Tyler Dibling in the ongoing summer transfer window, given that the North Londoners hold a long-term interest in his signature. But Everton had taken over as favourites for his services in the past weeks, with David Moyes’ side fortifying interest in bringing him to Merseyside before the conclusion of this window, but it looks like the Blues are now sniffing around Chelsea wide forward Tyrique George after they failed to prise Tyler Dibling out of Southampton, per TeamTalk.
And while it is not one of those transfer news items which will end up sending shockwaves through the supporters at N17, it could end up being one of those moves that could end up mattering more than it seems at the moment.
Everton looking at Chelsea academy graduate; Hands advantage to Tottenham to sign Dibling

Will Tottenham be able to get Tyler Dibling?
The Cobham academy graduate is 19 and has been registered with the West Londoners since he was barely tall enough to see over the training cones. But given his impressive performances for the academy side, he was pushed into their first team towards the back end of the last season. He ended up making 25 senior appearances and has seven goal contributions to his name, which is no bad return for a teenager finding his feet. And this makes Everton interested in taking him to Bramley-Moore Dock this summer.
And this is where Tottenham can pounce, not on George but on Dibling. At 18, the Southampton academy graduate showed us that rawness and unpredictability last season which left many on the edge of their seats, and while he is still figuring out how to balance between playing with flair and having that final product, we have seen enough for many to liken him to Cole Palmer.
But do Tottenham really need Dibling?
Tottenham given the all clear to land Championship star Tyler Dibling this summer; But is he the right choice?
Tottenham Hotspur have been targeting Tyler Dibling for a long time
Though given the competition for minutes in the RM/RW role with Kulusevski, Kudus and Johnson, Dibling would not be an immediate starter, but this move would start a process of him working under someone like Thomas Frank and start nurturing his abilities whilst getting a few minutes here and there (that means minutes in the right settings).
That being said, what many would ask is whether Tottenham should spend premium bucks on signing someone who would just be a depth player in the current roster for this season or someone who will come in and make a big impact in other positions where the Lilywhites need reinforcements.
