David Moyes responds to Jack Grealish's chances of starting for Everton vs Leeds United

Everton fans have now been informed as to whether Jack Grealish will be in line to make his debut against Leeds United.

Earlier this week, the news that all Everton fans wanted to hear was finally shared, with Grealish joining on a season-long loan.

Wayne Rooney spoke to Grealish ahead of his Everton move, which even saw the 29-year-old pick the England legend’s former shirt number.

Goals have been an issue for Everton all summer, and the addition of Grealish will be viewed as a big boost to their attacking threat.

Thierno Barry will be hoping for some improved service now the Englishman is set to be playing behind him.

Grealish’s brother expects him to play as the number 10, and Moyes has now shared his chances of playing at Elland Road.

Whether Jack Grealish will make his Everton debut vs Leeds United

Sam Allardyce is expecting Grealish to shine at Everton, having finally been freed of his struggles at Manchester City.

A big season lies ahead for the 29-year-old, who will surely be chomping at the bit to get going in an Everton shirt on Monday night.

Speaking to the media from Finch Farm, Moyes has provided an insight into whether Grealish will start in Yorkshire.

“He looks the same, big calves,” Moyes joked.

“You need to turn up and find out [whether he starts]. That’s what everyone needs to do.”

“I think Jack can play in several positions. I think he can play in midfield, as well, He doesn’t give the ball away very often, but my aim is to get Jack in positions where he will get goals and assists for us.

“Look, it’s a big challenge for Jack, as well. I’m looking forward to see how he responds to it.”

Grealish provided two assists against Leeds in his previous outing at Elland Road, which he’ll be hoping to replicate again on Monday.

An exciting season could be ahead of the Blues and landing three points on Monday will be on the radar, following a poor start under Sean Dyche last season.

Grealish could play in numerous positions for Everton

Everton remain keen to sign Tyler Dibling to address their lack of natural options at right wing.

For now, Moyes may have to get creative, but he could also play either Grealish or Iliman Ndiaye in that position.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall impressed against AS Roma at the weekend as he played in the number 10 role, but Grealish could immediately take that spot.

These are the types of headaches which Moyes will enjoy having, with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Dwight McNeil also up for selection.

Everton could really show their quality in the final third on Monday night, but Moyes will have to get his selection right.
