Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is still a target for Newcastle, according to reports in the Italian media.
Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that there are “tentative leads” to the Magpies who could make their move for the Serbian international before the transfer window closes.
However, the feeling at Juve is that Vlahovic may yet end up staying in Turin, despite the fact that the Bianconeri have been actively trying to offload him all summer.

The 25-year-old has less than a year left on his contract, and the Serie A side do not want to continue paying his £373,000 a week salary.
Vlahovic is available for a pretty low price
Reports over the last couple of months have suggested that the forward is available for just €25m (£21.5m).
That would make him a considerably cheaper signing than the other players Newcastle have been linked to as potential replacements for Alexander Isak.
Porto’s Samu Aghehowa could potentially cost in excess of £80m, while the likes of Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson are on the market for £60m and £70m respectively.
Could Isak still stay at Newcastle?
Most fans would not be particularly enthusiastic about Vlahovic being brought in as the club’s new no.9, while the other names on the list are way overpriced.
The club may, though, have to take a gamble if Isak does end up leaving St James’ Park. Manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the Swedish international won’t be in the matchday squad for the game against Aston Villa this weekend.
The striker is still holding out for a move to Liverpool, but the Reds have yet to return to the negotiating table, having had a £110m bid knocked back earlier this month. A lot could still happen between now and September 1st.
