This weekend, AC Milan could have their pursuit of a striker made or broken. It relies on Ruben Amorim and Manchester United, though.
A deal where you are waiting is never good. However, when the odds are in your favour, it can be worth it. With Dusan Vlahovic, Milan would have to wait until later this month and then hope that other dominoes fell.
For Hojlund, it is not as difficult. In fact, it can be solved this weekend, it seems. The Dane is not 100% sure of a move to Italy yet, and still wants to prove himself at Old Trafford. Though he could have his mind made up for him.

Weekend calling
Today, Fabrizio Romano, via Garante_Il on X, gave an update on things and how the situation could change soon.
“Calm down, before you say that Højlund would arrive in Milan on Thursday/Friday… that was never the case. We always had to wait for the final stages of this operation, which would always have been postponed until next week, and that remains the case.
“AC Milan knew it was practically impossible to close the Højlund deal this week. This wasn’t the week to close it, and above all, AC Milan still has to close the deal from all angles: with United and the player.
“Højlund still hopes to get a chance against Manchester United this weekend. If Amorim decides to play him for 0 minutes, as against Fiorentina, it’s clear his exit from Manchester United would be a complete downhill battle.”
It is never nice for things to be out of your control. With this, though, another case of being overlooked could trigger a feeling of revenge in the striker. This weekend could say everything.
