David Moyes furious ahead of Everton vs Leeds United – ‘I’m unhappy’

Everton manager David Moyes is preparing his side to visit Elland Road on Monday night to take on Leeds United in their Premier League opener. While the Whites are looking to get their return to the top flight off to a positive start, the away side will not want to start with a bad result against a newly promoted team.

Daniel Farke spoke about the difficulties his Leeds side are expecting to face in their attempt to establish themselves in the Premier League after being in the Championship for the last two years. A game against Everton at home is going to be a tough test for the Yorkshire giants on Monday.

However, Everton are facing a few issues ahead of their trip to Elland Road. Moyes is dealing with a few injuries, and there are concerns about several players ahead of the big Premier League opener.

The disruption these injuries have caused at Everton has not improved the manager’s mood, but the Toffees boss is concerned about something that could affect them for the rest of the season, if not nipped in the bud.

Everton boss David Moyes is furious about injury news leaking ahead of their Leeds United trip

It emerged earlier this week that Jarrad Branthwaite picked up a hamstring injury and will not be in the Everton squad travelling to Leeds.

Moyes confirmed the news in his press conference earlier today, but revealed a rare, angry side of himself when probed further about the injury.

The Everton boss is furious that the injury news leaked out before its time and is not happy that there is someone at the club who is leaking stuff out early.

He insisted that any manager would be unhappy about team news getting leaked out.

“Jarrad picked up an injury in training, so unfortunately, we are going to miss him. These things happen”, Moyes said in a press conference.

“No [I will not confirm when he will return], and I wouldn’t give it anyway, but I’m sure the insider inside the club will give that out, I’m sure of that. We have got to find out who is giving the news out.”

“I’m unhappy [with the news being leaked out]. No manager likes it.

“It is certainly coming from within our building, and it is up to us to find out, and we will do.”

Leeds have their own concerns

Farke has his own concerns about the Leeds team ahead of them hosting Everton at Elland Road on Monday night.

The Leeds boss confirmed that Jayden Bogle has returned to training with the squad after being out for more than two weeks. However, he is still not sure whether the right-back will be ready to start against Everton.

If Bogle doesn’t make it into the starting eleven on Monday night, Isaac Schmidt could start at right-back, despite rumours around his future.

Leeds are in talks to sign Leicester full-back James Justin to bolster their full-back options.
