Full details have been revealed ahead of Grimsby Town's much-anticipated , including ticket prices. The Mariners will host the 20-time top flight champions at Blundell Park on Wednesday, August 27 in the second round of the competition.
It is the first time Town have faced the Red Devils since 1948 back in the old First Division, offering the chance for a new generation of supporters to see one of the world's most famous football clubs take on the Mariners. The fixture, which will kick off at 8pm, will also be broadcast live on ITV and Sky Sports Football.
Grimsby Town have now announced ticket details which will include a £3 price increase over a standard matchday ticket in all categories. However, all supporters will receive a complimentary commemorative edition of The Mariner as they enter which is sure to be something of a collectors' item to remember the historic match.
When tickets will go on sale
Season Ticket holders will be able to buy tickets on a one-for-one basis after the final whistle of Saturday's game against Newport County at Blundell Park. The Ticket Office will be open until 6pm and the sale is "primarily for those supporters who live out of town and have attended the game".
The Lower Bar will be open after the match for supporters who would like a drink and to wait for the queue to go down. for Season Ticket holders will commence from 6pm on a strict one-for-one basis.
The Ticket Office will also be open from 10am until 4pm on Sunday, August 17 for sales to current Season Ticket holders, also on a one-for-one basis only. All Season Ticket holders’ seats will be held until midnight on Tuesday, August 19.
Tickets will then go on sale to 1878 Club members from 9am online and 10am in-store on Thursday, August 21. If tickets remain, they will be made available to those who attended the Shrewsbury Town round one Carabao Cup game on Friday, August 22 for 24 hours and to Mariners Trust members from Saturday, August 23 before going on general sale.

The sale of new 1878 Club memberships is currently unavailable but Season Tickets for the 2025-26 campaign are still on sale.
Manchester United fans will receive their contractual allocation in the Osmond Stand.
