Rasmus Hojlund could leave Man United this summer after the Red Devils signed Benjamin Sesko.
It’s fair to say that last season was a disappointment for every Manchester United player; however, some struggled more than others, and one such name is Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker managed to score just four goals in the Premier League for the Red Devils last year.
Hojlund’s poor performances last year led United to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, meaning that the Danish striker will now be dropped to the bench. United are reportedly keen to offload Hojlund, but it is understood that the striker wants to stay at Old Trafford and fight for the starting role.
Reports have said that AC Milan have sent a bid involving a loan move with a £39m option to buy Hojlund if he performs well. A Serie A move always looked the most likely Hojlund, however, there is now reported interest in the Premier League.
Fulham showing interest in Hojlund
Even though Hojlund looks fairly close to a move to AC Milan, Premier League side Fulham is now reportedly keen on the striker, as they have received bids from Serie A side Atalanta for their striker Rodrigo Muniz.
According to the Daily Mail, Fulham are keeping tabs on Hojlund and would like to bring him in, but only if the striker wanted the move, amid the suggestions that he would prefer to stay at Old Trafford. The interest from a Premier League team could be enough to tempt Hojlund, if he desires to stay in the English top flight rather than head back to Serie A.
United are eager to sell Hojlund as they need to make some money back on the £200m that they have already spent on the likes of Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Who else could United sell in the coming weeks?
Furthermore, Jadon Sancho has been subject to concrete interest from Roma, however, the Italian side reportedly want a loan with an option to buy, whereas Man United would prefer a permanent sale for the winger. Turkish side Besiktas are also credited with interest which could see Sancho reunite with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who signed him for United in 2021.
Sales of Sancho, Garnacho and Hojlund could bring as much as over £100m in, which could potentially fund a deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, who United are very keen to sign this summer. A deal will be difficult because of the Seagulls’ hefty valuation of the 21-year-old, but a few player sales could really help United’s pursuit of Baleba.
