Team news for Saturday’s Premier League opener against Man City is mostly positive for Wolves.
Wolves will need to be at their best to get a result this weekend, and reports suggest Vitor Pereira will be able to field an almost full-strength side.
One positive from an otherwise dismal Wolves pre-season is that no players picked up serious injuries during the friendlies.

That allows Pereira to get close to his best XI for the City game, boosting our chances of pulling off an upset. However, one defender in the final stages of recovery is confirmed to be on the bench.
Yerson Mosquera will be on the bench for Wolves
We all remember the freak injury at the beginning of last season that left Yerson Mosquera sidelined for almost a year.
As reported by Nathan Judah, the big Colombian isn’t ready to make his return to the starting lineup against Man City, but fans will be happy to see him on the bench.

Everyone fully fit bar Yerson Mosquera, who isn’t available to start (but will be on bench) 💺
A few players missed training yesterday, but are all fine for tomorrow ✅

Once Mosquera is back fully fit, he and Matt Doherty will have to scrap it out for the right centre-back spot.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Doherty has recently been named as part of Wolves’ leadership group, but at the end of the day, whoever is performing at a higher level should be getting the nod.
David Moller Wolfe ready to make Premier League debut after 45 minutes vs Celta Vigo
Wolves will see a familiar face on Saturday, with Rayan Ait-Nouri almost sure to start on his return to Molineux.
And his replacement looks set to play as well. David Moller Wolfe played the first half against Celta Vigo, during which time we saw how the Norwegian will play under his new manager.
Fans will be hoping Moller Wolfe can link up with fellow newbie Jhon Arias against Matheus Nunes, who is still adapting to his role as right-back.
If Wolves are to have joy against City, from what we saw last season, transition play and width is the recipe. Moller Wolfe’s debut will definitely be one to watch.
