Arsenal star Leandro Trossard could be on his way to fellow Premier League club Aston Villa, according to reports - with the Belgian star yet to accept a new deal in north London as he falls down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
Villa have had a quiet transfer window by their own means, with their only major signing being the arrival of Evann Guessand from French outfit Nice, and with other stars on their way out, incomings are needed. That could see them turn to Trossard, who has been in fine form throughout the years in the Premier League for the Gunners.

The report by Football Transfers states Villa have 'held talks' with Arsenal as they potentially look to add the Belgian star to their ranks.
Initial discussions took place between the two clubs on Tuesday, with Unai Emery potentially set to raid his old club, aiming to test the Gunners' resolve over the 'outstanding' attacker. Trossard has been made aware of the approach, and it is thought that any decision over his future will be left up to him amid Arsenal's manic transfer window.
The north London outfit have added Noni Madueke from Chelsea this summer, potentially shunting Trossard down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, and that could see him opt for more game time at Villa, where he would replace Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman flourished in the West Midlands in the second half of last season on loan from Manchester United, though Villa's failure to qualify for the Champions League has seen them relinquish control of the Red Devils star and Trossard could fill that void.
It's not the first time that Villa have asked about his availability, with conversations being held in January when the Gunners were negotiating a new contract for him amid his current £90,000-a-week deal, though that offer remains unsigned as yet. Arsenal are thought to value the former Brighton star at £18million, which is well within Villa's reach amid Jacob Ramsey's imminent move to Newcastle United, as well as Leon Bailey being linked with a transfer out of the club.
Squad depth is vital for the Europa League side, who are competing on four fronts this season on a Thursday–Sunday schedule - and if they are to win the European competition under Emery, who has done so four times in his career, someone such as Trossard will be vital in securing major silverware due to his experiences in continental football.
