Odsonne Édouard’s move from Crystal Palace to Nice appears to have hit the buffers, as they’re also looking at other targets.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the deal has started stalling after looking likely to be done.
Reports throughout this week had indicated that Nice were keen on the Crystal Palace striker and a deal was being done for £4m.
Édouard was even reportedly keen on the move and the matter was progressing. He spent last season on an unsuccessful loan spell with Leicester City and does not appear to be in Crystal Palace’s plans moving forwards.
However, Foot Mercato now report that things are getting complicated regarding Édouard’s arrival at Nice.
They say that since the day before yesterday, the deal between the two clubs has been stalling. While Nice had considered the Frenchman as a serious attacking target, the former PSG striker’s arrival is becoming more complicated.
That’s because Nice are exploring other options in parallel to the Crystal Palace man. As a result, some people close to the deal have been rather pessimistic about the possibility of the transfer being done.
