Reports have indicated that, at the very least, the Chicago Bulls have shown some interest in Jonathan Kuminga. The Golden State Warriors continue to hold on to him, with Kuminga seeking a new contract.
The Warriors understand that Kuminga wants his money, but they don't have much reason to pay him, similar to the Bulls' situation with Josh Giddey.
But there's also a possibility that the Warriors could look to move on from Kuminga in a sign-and-trade. That's the key difference between him and Giddey, as the Bulls want to keep the young guard around.
Sports Illustrated's Mark Morales-Smith recently proposed a deal allowing the Bulls to do both, moving on from just Nikola Vucevic. The trade idea would bring back Kuminga, Moses Moody, and more.
Warriors Receive: Obi Toppin, first-round pick
Pacers Receive: Nikola Vucevic, second-round pick
Bulls Receive: Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Jarace Walker
"The Bulls lose an aging center and some draft capital for a potential budding superstar in Kuminga. Their ability to take on some extra salary cap is the only reason they are able to pull this off. Chicago has been searching for that young star for years and may have found him with this deal," [he wrote](https://www.si.com/onsi/fantasy/nba/warriors-deal-jonathan-kuminga-chicago-bulls-3-team-nba-mock-trade).

Giving up picks isn't the best idea from the Bulls' perspective right now, but if they can move on from Kuminga and get Kuminga and Moody back, this feels like a deal that's too good to pass up on.
The Bulls have done a terrible job on the trade market in recent years, losing every trade they've made.
This one would be a lot different, however, even if Vucevic goes to Golden State and plays like an All-Star, like he can.
