Bayern Munich have reportedly started negotiations over a deal for Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku.
The 27-year-old has struggled to establish themselves in the Chelsea side following his move from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.
Nkunku was restricted to just nine starts in 27 Premier League appearances last term, and he is now further down the pecking order following the arrivals of Jamie Gittens, Estevao, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
As a result, **Nkunku is believed to be keen to leave Chelsea**before the summer transfer window closes for business.

Bayern open Nkunku talks
Nkunku has been linked with a return to Leipzig, but it appears that another German club are pushing to secure his services this summer.
According to talkSPORT, Bayern have opened talks with Chelsea over a potential deal for the versatile attacker.
The Bavarians appear to be turning their focus to Nkunku after failing to make progress in discussions over a move for Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade.
Bayern's preference would be to sign Nkunku on a season-long loan deal, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Chelsea ready to take Nkunku hit
However, they are not ruling out a permanent transfer, with Chelsea ready to take a 'big hit' on their initial £52m investment.
The Blues are said to be willing to allow Nkunku to leave for 'significantly less' than the figure they paid to sign him from Leipzig in 2023.
The report even claims that they are willing to drop their valuation from the £40m they were demanding at the start of the summer transfer window.
That would represent a sizeable compromise on Chelsea's part, especially as Nkunku still has four years left to run on his contract.
However, Nkunku's departure could help facilitate Chelsea's quest to sign Netherlands international Xavi Simons from Leipzig.
