Oliver Glasner has a decision to make over the selection of both Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze for their Premier League opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Guehi and Eze both started in the Community Shield win over Liverpool last weekend, but the pair have since been at the centre of a transfer storm, with both looking likely to exit the club this summer.
Liverpool are believed to be in for Guehi, while Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in Eze, so with those distractions present off the pitch, Glasner must ensure both players are focused on the task at hand.
On the injury front, Daichi Kamada picked up a problem during the clash with Liverpool last week, so either Will Hughes or Jefferson Lerma will come in to partner Adam Wharton in the centre of the Palace midfield.
Eddie Nketiah picked up a muscular problem on the eve of the season, joining Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure on the sidelines, while young Brazilian Matheus Franca has suffered another setback of his own.
Left-back Borna Sosa and goalkeeper Walter Benitez are Palace’s only summer recruits so far, but both may have to settle for spots on the bench, with Tyrick Mitchell and Dean Henderson guaranteed to start.
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Mateta, Eze
