Barcelona have been handed some great financial news ahead of the start of the new 2025-26 La Liga season from former player Francisco Trincao.
The winger left for Sporting in 2023 but Barcelona retained 50% of his rights. The Portuguese club have now bought these for €11 million, handing the Catalan giants a nice sum.
Sporting have announced that they now hold 100% of Trincao’s rights in an official statement to confirm the news:
“Sporting Club has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona regarding the purchase of 50% of the economic rights of the player Francisco Trincao, for an amount of €11,000,000.00 (eleven million euros).”
It’s a nice little boost for Barcelona, particularly at a time when the club are handling player registrations for the coming campaign.
Joan Laporta and Co. are currently trying to register both Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford in time for Saturday’s opener against Real Mallorca.
